In the last 30 days Transmission City has seen 4 major Transmission failures due to overheating caused by radiator failures or auxiliary Transmission cooler failures. This includes Chevrolet, Pontiac, and especially Nissan Frontier, Pathfinder and Xterra. There is an internal transmission cooler built into the radiator tank, that can cause engine coolant (Antifreeze) to enter the transmission fluid cooling system. This destroys the Transmission clutches, Torque converter and solenoids and internal TCM (Transmission Control Module). Other heat related failures are caused by excessive restriction on Ford trucks, Lincoln trucks and particularly Diesels. All of these problems maybe averted by Transmission City in Sandy Utah where we can perform a Transmission Cooling flow test. Call Nate and set up an appointment 801-565-9990.
